He faithfully served our country as a US Army Veteran.
Gene married Katherine Unrine on March 17, 1977.
His hobbies included gardening, motorcycling, camping, and anything that caused him to be outside.
Survived by his wife of 37 years, Katherine.
Predeceased by his parents and siblings, Lester, Leonard, and Hellen.
Memorial service 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Cremation rites will be accorded.
