Glenda R. Engelkes, 62, Sauk City, WI, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Born on May 18, 1948 in Albert Lea, MN, to Mike and Arlene (Berhow) Warner. Glenda enjoyed spending winters in Port Isabel, TX, and the summers in Sauk City, WI. Facing her illness, her faith and trust in the Lord grew stronger each day. Glenda was a member of the United Church of Christ, Sauk City. She also attended the United Methodist Church in Port Isabel.
Survivors include her husband, David; sons, Mike (Liz) and Tom (Jamie); grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler, Jake, Dalton, and Hunter; sisters, Terry (Dick) Drew and Colleen (Gary) Bender. Preceded in death by parents.
A Memorial Service in her honor is at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL, officiated by Pastor William Kapp. There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m. before the service.
