

Gordon “Gordy” D. Forster, 81, died peacefully on October 26, 2016. He was born in Richardton, ND., on March 6, 1935, to William and Eleanora Forster. Gordy served in the army and fought in the Korean War. After his tour, he moved to Rockford. He married LuAnn R. Nelson on July 20, 1973. Gordy worked at Aquamatic, Inc. as a design engineer. He left in 1983 to start his own company, Gordy’s Water Treatment & Equipment, Inc., retiring in 2010. Gordy worked with his customers, even bartering services when someone was unable to pay. Gordy loved going to Woodhaven Lakes. He was devoted to his family, appreciating any time spent together. He was truly one of the most generous of men who was hardworking, dependable, jack of all trades and a crazy jokester. Gordy’s love, loyalty and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survived by wife, LuAnn; children, Mitch (Barb) Forster, Kimberly (Bill) Alsup, and Kelly Forster; grandchildren, Joshua (Valerie) Forster, Nicholas Forster, Brenden and Karysa Alsup, Trenton and Teaghan Forster and Alissa and Jaisen Browning; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Leisure; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. The family extends their gratitude to all his caregivers and friends.
