Harriett L. Bennett

Harriett was born on April 5, 1931 in Rockford, the daughter of S. Lee and Roma Mae (nee McKern) Hiatt. Harriett married John “Jack” Edward Bennett on December 4, 1951 and Jack preceded Harriett on December 8, 1998. Harriett was raised and schooled in Shirland area and was a member of Davis Junction United Methodist Church.

Harriett is survived by her children: Gayle Bennett of Davis Junction, IL., Larry (Sheri) Townsend of Machesney Park, IL., Ida Mae Sprague of LaPorte, CO., Peggy (Scott) Conderman of LaValle, WI., Nancy (Dana) Carr of Davis Junction, IL., Kathleen (Gary) Gentry of Rockford, IL., John (Patty) Bennett of Franksville, WI and Jim Bennett of Stillman Valley, IL.; siblings Doris Peterson, Norma Frank, Ron Hiatt, Sharon Bennett and Viola Schroeder; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service to celebrate Harriett’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 3, 2015 at Davis Junction United Methodist Church Hwy 72 in Davis Junction, IL.
