Heidi L. Diaz

Heidi L. Diaz, 57 of Rockford, Il. died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 27, 2017. In a life well celebrated, Heidi married Robert Diaz on August 2, 1980, together they shared almost 37 years while raising their family in a home filled with love. Heidi’s hands were never idle; she was either knitting or crocheting beautiful keepsakes for her family, even though she wasn’t looking at you she was always listening. Heidi was content surrounding herself with the love of her family especially her grandchildren and the fond memories made while camping. She found great comfort embracing nature. Heidi was born in Rockford, IL. on February 16, 1960 to Vernon and Marilyn (Byington) Congleton.

Survivors: husband; children, Deborah (Samuel) Mateika, Melissa (Brian) Parrett, Kathryn (Andrew) Rungren, Jahdzia Diaz; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Lisa), Kenneth (Jen), Darren Congleton; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents.
