JOAN WAS A WONDERFUL NURSE AND CARING LADY. I KNOW SHES PROBABLY HAPPY BECAUSE SHES WITH HER HUSBAND,BUT, SAD SHE LEFT HER LOVE ONES HERE. I KNOW SHE WILL BE MISSED BUT, GOD WILL HELP YOU THRU THIS DIFFICULT TIME.GOD BLESS THE STONE FAMILY & FIENDS.

I was so saddened by the notice of Joan's  passing.  She was head of E wing at Wesley Willows when my parents were brought there from their home in Wisconsin.  My husband was on the board at the time, so we knew that was the place they should be.  They had excellent care, and part of that was due to Joan's oversight.  We had conversations, she and I and so I got to know her as a friend.  I was very sorry to see her leave,but was sure she was due a respite from all her responsibilities.  I had hoped when I saw the notice in the paper that it was'nt the Joan I knew, but darn, it was.  So my sympathy to all of her family. Joan was a very caring woman who enjoyed everyone.  She was always 
upbeat.  
She will be missed by everyone who knew her.  She made the best pies and enjoyed baking them.  GOD BLESS

Joan was truely a great person, she will be deeply missed. I worked with her many years ago at Wesley Willows and I still remember alot of good times we had together.

Joan was an absolutely GREAT nurse to say the least. I knew her while she was with Wesley Willows and witnessed her tremendous work on behalf of the residents under her care. I have spent a very significant amount of time this week being angry that you were taken from us so suddenly and unexpectedly.  I miss you so much and I see you in everything.  I realized this morning that maybe I shouldn't be so mad.  Maybe I should take it for what it is, for what you were...a beautiful gift to everyone who knew you.  Although I feel my time with you was cut short, I was lucky to have you in my life at all.  I was lucky that even in passing you taught me so much.  I am lucky to be able to call you Gramma.  I miss you and love you so much!

we will miss you dear sister, Joan was the heart of the Liske family.  I can still hear her famous saying " we should enjoy each and every day because tomorrow may never come." She was the ring leader who would gather us all together when ever she could.  Her spirit will always be with us.

MJ, you know your dad was there with open arms welcoming your mom in heaven! They will be there when it is your time too! Our hearts our with you as you mourn and heal with her amazing spirit! We absolutely LOVED your parents, even though we only met them once at the little bar in Janesville at your wedding reception. They were (are!) so full of life, and will be there with you everyday looking down from heaven to you. You can feel their spirit, right? Love you sis-in-law, and you certainly had amazing parents to guide your way through life!

I am very sorry for your loss. She was the  woman who taught so many wonderful life lessons and always with a grin. She was kind and compassionate I loved her a lot. I will miss her but am a better person for having known her. Thanks for being my second mom and second family.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope.  Joan was a very special person.  Remembering you all today and always!
