Joseph was born October 19, 1919 to Joseph and Edith Taylor in Mystic Iowa.
Joe was a WWII veteran and a member of the Brick Layers Union Local 6-IL since 1948. Joe was a Mason contractor in Rockford ILL. He also did Seawall, Sold Mobil homes, boats and did aluminum patios in the Florida Keys.
Joe is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jean (Parkhurst), a son; Thomas H. Taylor of Englewood, FL, Four Grandsons, one Granddaughter, eight great-grandchildren, five step children, five step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday September 29, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL. Pastor Doug Carroll will be officiating. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park following services. Memorials can be sent to The Marion Rescue Squad at P.O. Box N, Marion, MI.
