Judy D. Jackson

Judy married Phillip Jackson on April 11th 1992 in Rockford. She worked for SEPTRAN for 19 years before retiring due to health problems. Judy was also a caretaker for her sister-in-law, Florence.

She loved to cook, bake, and do crafts; especially flower crafts. She also loved the dirt races. Judy will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Judy is survived by her husband, Phillip Jackson of Rockford; daughters, Michelle Oglesby of Rockford and Susan (Chad) Michaelis of Florence, CO; stepsons Kevin (Terrie) Jackson of Loves Park and Bryan Jackson of Loves Park; stepdaughter Heather Jackson of Rockford; a brother, Donald (Gayle) Kleindl and special brother; Thom VanDeWalker. She is also survived by special grandkids, Ashley, Kourtney, and Stefanie Jackson, plus many more grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Jim VanDeWalker, a sister Mary Lamont and brother in law, David Lamont.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family.

Memorial service will be at 12pm, Saturday January 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Pastor Bobby Sheets will be officiating. Visitation will be 10am to 12pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
