

James Keith Tucker, 70, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on October 2, 2021 in the Madison, Wisconsin VA Hospital. Keith was born in Kennett, Missouri on July 14, 1951 to James and Mary Tucker. Keith graduated from Holcomb High School in Missouri in 1969. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and served his country for over 2 years. Keith was honorably discharged in 1973 and moved to the Rockford area to work at Amerock, where he met the love of his life, Sharon Hicks. Six months later, on December 1st, 1973 they married at Lincoln Wood Baptist Church. Keith and Sharon spent 47 amazing years together. Keith was a hard worker, he owned and operated Tucker Pools for 35 years and Mighty Mike’s Maze while also going to Auctions with Sharon, which they loved doing with each other. Even after owning Tucker Pools he owned and operated TNT Outlet in the mall. Besides working Keith also enjoyed fishing, sitting by the fire, and talking and telling stories to whoever his company might be.
Keith is survived by his wife, Sharon Tucker; children, Jamie Tucker, Jay Tucker, and Dustin (Lisa Stehley) Tucker; mother, Mary Tucker; grandchildren, Alyson Goedert, Kyle Goedert, Myley Goedert, Ayden, Ashlynne, and Kennlee; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Evelynn, and Kyson; siblings, Tony (Pat) Tucker, Paula (Earle) Anscomb, and Bruce (Mindy) Tucker. Keith was preceded in death by his father, James E. Tucker; grandson, Tyler Goedert and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 12 from 5pm to 8pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held the following day, Wednesday, October 13 at 10am at Sunset Funeral Home. Entombment will follow the service in Sunset memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
