Leslie L Mayborne

Leslie L. Mayborne, 89, of Rockford, passed away at his daughters home on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Leslie married Eva Peterson on September 23, 1942. He was a member of the Harmony Singing Society, American Legion, and Served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Leslie enjoyed golfing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his great grandchildren. Leslie is survived by daughter; Karolyn (Ron) Lund of Loves Park, daughter-in-law; Terry Mayborne of Rockford, brothers; Royal Mayborne of TX, and Lloyd Mayborne of Lake Mills WI, grandchildren; Dan “Scorch” Lund, Kathy (Mark) Racich, Jennifer (John) Sutkay, Kimberly (Mike) Spehar, all of Loves Park, great grandchildren, Carson, Mason, Marie, Joey, Maggie, Johnny, and Mya. Leslie was preceded in death by his wife; Eva, son; Michael, and siblings; Arthur, Raymond, and Irene. A funeral will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N.
