Lorraine E Seagren (Ekberg), born March 3, 1922 in Oak Park, Minnesota. She was the oldest of 8 children, born to Hilding and Agnes Ekberg. She married the love of her life, Reuben Seagren in June 1940. They lived in Oak Park, Minnesota and Cokato, Minnesota, where their two sons were born, Lowell and James. They moved to Evansville, Wisconsin and then to Loves Park, Illinois. They had a winter home in Scottsdale, Arizona for many years and enjoyed getting away from the Illinois cold.
Predeceased by her parents, husband, and five siblings, Avis Ekberg, Bob Ekberg, Jerry Ekberg, Arliss Beehler, and Lois Scherbing; and one granddaughter, Kate Seagren.
Survived by her two sons, Lowell and James; sister, Ione Gustafson; brother, Alan Ekberg; four grandchildren, Becky Larson, Sarah Swift, Tom Seagren, and Kristin Messinger; nine great-grandchildren, Kyle Larson, Alex Larson, Scott Larson, Dillon Swift, Emily Swift, Noah Seagren, Hannah Seagren, Ari Messinger, and Holt Messinger; and one great-great-grandchild, Theo Swift.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4:30 PM Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Thunder Bay Grille, 7652 Potawatomi Trail, Rockford, IL 61107.
