Lucille J. Smith, 75, of Rockford passed away Friday November 4, 2011 at her home.
She was born September 21, 1936 the daughter of Thomas and Grace Smith. Lucille enjoyed spending her time among family , friends and the laughter of children; while caring for their needs all throughout her years.
She is survived by her children Linda ( Wayne) Lovett, Bobby J( Melenie) Smith, and Stephanie Smith; three grandchildren Tanner Joe Smith, Teagan Daley Smith and Alaska Lynn Lovett. Also surviving is her close friend Linda Wicker and many nieces and nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ellsworth and Robert Smith; two sisters Lois Loy and Betty Ables and her close friends Patsy Stephens and Dustin Hearring.
Visitation will take place from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home in Machesney Park. Funeral Services will take place the following day at 12:00p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011 also at Sunset Funeral Home in Machesney Park.
Lucille’s family would like to give special thanks to Hospice and all the volunteers for all their efforts.
