

Marion B. Zellner, 94, of Rockford IL, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on September 13, 1926 to Lenora and Frank Hoppe in Wausau Wisconsin. Marion was deeply devoted to her faith. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a talented cook and enjoyed making pies for after church Sunday dinners. She devoted her time to teaching a Bible Study at Collier Gardens Senior Living. She loved to sing and enjoyed Christian music, and late in life she loved watching Hallmark original movies. She was a loving wife to the late Kenneth G. Zellner, and together they shared 7 children and 59 years of marriage. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her children: Gloria Hinduja, Duane Zellner, Marilee (Edward) Velazquez, Janine (Brian) Talley, and Edward Zellner; Grandchildren (9) Angella (Troy) Snyder, Christine (Rick) Presley, Anil (Natascha) Hinduja, Heather (Brian) Lorenzo, Gaylen Zellner, Noelle (Thomas) Lehman, Candice McClure, Megan Gilgan-engaged to Robert Stotz and Morgan Zellner-engaged to Jakob Messink ; she is also survived by 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great Grandchild. She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Kenneth Zellner; her parents; sons, Lyle Zellner and Brian Zellner; son-in-law, Murli Hinduja; grandson, Zachary Zellner as well as 4 sisters and 1 brother.
A funeral service for Marion is scheduled for September 18 at 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Located at 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. A visitation will be held at 11am until the time of service.
