Mary Ann Phillips, 85, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, November 29, 2025, at home and surrounded by her family. Mary Ann was born to Earl and Pearl McRoberts on January 14, 1940, in Ransom, Illinois. She attended Shabbona High School. In the late 1980’s, Mary Ann started her journey in sales with pools, spas, and other related equipment. On November 25, 1989, she married the love of her life, Roger Phillips.
Mary Ann loved to cook for her family and especially bake. Her cherry pie, raspberry pie, and zucchini cake were some of her signature recipes. When the weather was nice, she loved to garden flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Roger; children, Terri Collins and Junior Price; stepdaughter, Dawn (John) Hoeg; grandchildren, Jamie (Marc) Hockison and Bryan Collins; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Riley, Evan, Mikayla, and Wynnie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pearl; daughter, Sheila Hammel; grandson, Brent Price; siblings, Arthur, Charlie, Barb, Butch, and Donnie; son-in-law, Dan Collins.
