Maryel N. Mittelsteadt

Maryel N. Mittelsteadt, 92, of Machesney Park IL, passed away August 21, 2022. She was born on July 13, 1930 to Elizabeth and Robert Robbins. She was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Maryel enjoyed spending her time playing card games, doing crossword puzzles and spending quality time with her family. She was a talented singer and baker and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children; Stephan (Laura) Mittelsteadt of Warwick, RI, Greg (Debbie) Mittelsteadt of Rockford IL, Geneva (Ken) Klenz of Loves Park IL, Bradley (Cathleen) Mittelsteadt of Hampton NH, grandchildren; Douglas (Kimberly) Mittelsteadt, Matthew (Roseline) Mittelsteadt, Shannon (Jason) Fisher, Greg (Maudi) Mittelsteadt Jr., Chris (Sarah) McCarthy, Tim (Liz) McCarthy, Tia (Gene) Davis, Maggie (Brandon) Scott, 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

She is predeceased by her husband; Francis “Buck” Mittelsteadt, her parents, as well as her siblings; Zelda Rouse, Lilace Rouse, Lois Hollinghead, Marion Davis, Clifford, Kenneth, Charles, and George, and Gerald Robins.

A funeral for Maryel is scheduled for Friday 8/26 at 2pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Located at 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. A visitation will take place at 1pm until the time of service. Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
