I was one of Matt's teachers at Guilford.  Fortunately, I was blessed by a visit from Matt and his best friend Jake not long ago.  As a teacher, we are not supposed to have favorites but that was difficult with Matt around.  His huge sense of humor and beaming smile accompanied him each and every day at school. He was kind and generous and always made the other students feel valued.  Matt always had a great joke and a goofy sense of humor that brightened the room.  My deepest sympathies to your family on the loss of your beloved son and brother.  Praying for all of you.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your son. No parent should have to endure this kind of pain, my deepest condolences along with prayers.

Just a few short weeks ago, Matt made me some cookies as I was healing from a minor procedure.  What a sweetie.

Matthew was a kind, caring, fun, person. He loved to bake goodies and share them. He loved working on his car and having fun with friends. Whenever I saw him he would give me a hug as he left. Luckily for us we have many good memories.  Thank you to Joanne and Randy for calling 911. My prayers go out for family and friends missing Matt and for Steven's recovery.

My heart goes out to you Lois and family. I do know what it is to lose a daughter. Just know you are all in my Prayers and thoughts.

I worked with Matt at Logli's. Matt was an awesome guy, he would always make me laugh. Matt will truly be missed. I will miss seeing him walk in to Schnucks/Logli's. My heart goes out to him family. As a parent it is hard to bury our children before us.

Lois, Frad, and family, I'm so sorry you are having to go through this loss. We never think we'll be having a funeral for our child. Our family has had many through the years. I have watched Matt grow up to be the fine young man he was.A part of me is gone. I am at a loss. He will be missed.

He used to talk to me a lot in the lunch line at Harlem. It's all hazy in memory, but I think he used to bring up his younger brother often. I think they lived together with their father. He cared a lot about his brother.

I only knew Matt for a few years but within those years he became a close friend. His light that He spread will still shine brightly long after. I'll miss him so much. I am very glad to have known him.

I am so sad to hear about Matt. We worked together at Logli"s. He was such a hard worker, and was proud of every pizza he made! He was great with the customers, and many customers came in because he was working- they knew he would give them the best service. He was someone I loved to be around.His smile was contagious. God bless you Matt. You will be greatly missed.

I knew Matt through my son Kyle McDonald whom worked with him at Loglis and . I just loved Matt as a second son as he was such a good friend to my son Kyle and an awesome brother to Steve. I know Steve real well also and hoping he gets through everything health wise and is okay. I am so sorry for your loss as i can only imagine how hard this is. Matt was a wonderful person always had a great smile on his face although we only worked together a short amount of time he will be very missed by many here. May you always keep smiling and shine down upon your loved ones in this great time of sorrow.
