Michael John Keckler, age 57, of Davis, Illinois passed on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Born October 1, 1968 to David Lynn Keckler and Sandra Fertitta in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Harlem High School and went on to own a flooring business for over 20 years. Michael married the love of his life, Sandra J. Erickson on July 20, 1990.
Mike was a proud member of Monroe, Wisconsin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was active in Bible education work and supported the congregation as a Ministerial Servant in his time as a member there. Mike enjoyed being outdoors, going on hikes in the forest, campfire cooking with his grandbuddies, and snowmobiling were some of his favorite activities. He also enjoyed deer hunting, chopping wood, and working outside. Most of all, Mike cherished his time with his family and friends but most especially his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra Keckler; children, Christin Smith and Sean (Rebeca) Keckler; grandchildren, Jordyn Smith, Ryah Smith, Elliot Smith, Christopher Smith, and Isabella Keckler; parents, David (Vicky) Keckler and Sandra (Arley) Krebsbach; and brothers, Dave (Tawny) Keckler, Todd (Dulce) Keckler, Mark Keckler, and Christopher (Sandra) Keckler. He was dearly loved by a host of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Diane and Gerald Hall, Sam and Bernice Fertitta, John and Dorothy Keckler, and Bertie Lou Whitman.
A memorial service for Mike will be held on Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 pm at the Monroe Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, N3073 Highway 59 Monroe, WI 53566. Private burial services for family.
