

He was a graduate of Harlem High School, Class of 1965, and served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968. He worked at Chrysler in Belvidere from 1969 until 1999.
Mick was a rabid hunter and he spent many hours in the field with his close friend, Jim Ross. He was also an avid sports fan and he enjoyed all the amenities that go along with the world of sports.
Mick is survived by his brother, Steve (Linda) and sister, Cindy (Jeff) Hall; aunt, Margaret Perrin; uncle, Bob (Edie) Pearson; several cousins; stepbrother, Bill (Susan) Marshall; stepsister, Pat (Mike) Carlson; the children of his best friend and true love, Inez Kaja; Terry (Jen), Tina, Mike, Tim, and their families; stepmother, Beverly Horrocks; stepsisters, Theresa and Patti; stepbrothers, Robbie and Steve.
He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother, Helen; his true love, Inez Kaja; and stepsister, Marcia.
Funeral services, 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park with Pastor Wendell Maynard officiating. Visitation, 8 a.m. to time of service. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial fund to be set up in Mick’s name at a later date.
