
Mildred Worley Smail, 84, Inverness, Florida, passed away at her residence in Inverness on March 26, 2012. She was born on December 20, 1927 in Thompson, Georgia to Thomas and Rebecca (Collis) Weaver. Mildred was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she attended school. She married Haskell Worley in 1945 and they moved to Rockford in 1955. Haskell and Mildred were together until his death in 1971. Mildred later married Robert Smail in the 90’s and remained with him until his death in 1993.
Mildred loved to travel, dance and crochet. She loved her little dog “Midgy”
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Haskell and Robert; a son, Ronald Worley and her brothers and sisters.
Mildred is survived by her daughters; Donna Worley Hearon, Denise Worley; a sister Rena Davis; and grandchildren Kerry Lilly, Jason Lilly, Jennifer Worley from Arizona, Lisa Worley-McCleod from Texas, great grandchildren, Sterling, Tristan, Sophia, Sabrina; and many nieces and nephews who would be here if they could.
A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Road, Machesney Park on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 12pm to 2pm. A 2pm funeral service will follow with the Reverend Ron Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
