Patricia JoAnne Carlson, 86, of Rockford, passed away at Swedish American Hospital on Saturday, August 19, 2023. JoAnne was born in Rockford on October 10, 1936. JoAnne married Donald L. Carlson on June 8, 1974. JoAnne was a woman of strong faith, and was comforted knowing the Lord would welcome her with open arms. She attended Brooke Road United Methodist Church, and her love for music flowed into becoming the Director of the choir. She also enjoyed her flower gardens. Above all else, she treasured her family. She would do anything and everything for them, and anyone.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Donald; children, John (Pam) Krup, Jim (Leslie) Krup, Thomas (Roxanne) Flippo Jr., and Beverly (Don) Faerber; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel William Carlson, and her parents.
Per JoAnne’s wishes, private services have taken place through Sunset Funeral Home. Memorials may be addressed to Sunset Funeral Home, where they will be forwarded to the family.
