Ronald L. Pearson, 83, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. Ron was born to Le Roy and Irma Pearson in Rockford on January 28, 1942. He graduated from East High School before joining the United States Army and serving as a firefighter. Upon his return, he opened his business “Ron’s Auto Sales”. Cars were truly his passion, especially if a Chrysler was involved. Ron was a member of the Gentleman's Club of Loves Park. On January 2, 1965, Ron married the love of his life, Donna Carten. Ron was a simple man, who loved his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years, Donna; son, Mark (Kim) Pearson; daughter, Dawn Pearson; grandchildren, Ashley Pearson and Melina Pearson; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Pearson of Arizona; sister, Jeanette McKirk of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Le Roy and Irma; maternal and paternal grandparents.
