Ronald “Poncho” Heckman Jr. died peacefully Jan. 26, 2019. Poncho is remembered as being an all-around great man, avid fisherman, and die hard bears fan. He leaves behind his wife; Debbie, children; Trisha Slavings, and Nathan Heckman, stepchildren; Tiffany Herrin and Nicole Stringham, grandchildren; Emily Watts, Jeffery Heckman, Alexia Heckman, James Herrin, Tessa Herrin, Aria Lamb, and his father; Ronald Heckman Sr. He also leaves behind siblings; Christine Stogsdill and Julie Thompson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his mother; Partricia Heckman.
A visitation for Poncho will be Friday 2/1/19 at 1pm, and funeral service following at 2pm. Services will be at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine rd. Machesney Park IL 61115.
