Ruby D. Meyer

It is great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ruby D. Meyer, who departed on September 8th, 2025, at the age of 93. Born October 5, 1931 in Wiota, Wisconsin. Grew up and attended high school in Monroe, Wisconsin. Married Leonard Meyer on December 22, 1956 in Freeport, Illinois and later resided in the Rockford, Illinois area. Ruby worked many years at Amerock Corp. and later retired as a computer operator after 20 years of service at Saint Anthony Hospital. We will miss her great cooking and baking skills. Her sense of humor always brought laughter to the room. She was a strong Norwegian that lived a long and memorable life.

She was a loving mother to her sons, Steve (Joan) Meyer, Jeff Meyer, daughters Mary Blasing, Kathy (Chuck) Johnson, Vicki (David) Geddeis. Grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Julie (Jordan) Rieker, Nicolette Geddeis,and Kendra Geddeis. Great Grandchildren, Landon, Savannah, Mason, and Amelia. Step mother to Roger (Pauline) Meyer and Shirley VanOeffelen. Many step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Sister Sharon Knouse and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, James and Olga Field, husband Leonard, brothers Bill and Mynard Field, sister Winnie Schutte, stepson Bud Meyer, and grandson David Meyer. We find comfort in knowing that Moms legacy lives on through the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. Private burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.
