Ruth L. Christopher VanderWall, 92, of Rockford passed away Thursday, June 21 2012. Born on March 27, 1920 in Burlington, Vermont and lived in Rockford since 1971, coming from Hartford, Connecticut.
She married Henry J. VanderWall in 1971, he died in 1982.
She is survived by her sister, Carole Zais of Rockford; several nieces and nephews; also very special friend and caregiver, Marilyn South and friend Victor Lucido.
She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Rockford.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Christopher in 1964, brothers, Hedley Nelson and Francis Mead, sisters Beverly Brown, Jeanette Wilkerson and Marjorie Miller.
