Steve A. Hackworth, aged 74, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born on June 13, 1951 to Carter and Ruby (Faulkner) Hackworth in Rockford, Illinois. Steve was very proud of his service in the Navy. He enjoyed listening to music and the guitar.
Steve is survived by his sisters, Kathy Gillette, Betty (Jack) Basford, and Jo Ann (Gary) Lake; brother, Todd Hackworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carter and Ruby Hackworth; siblings, Clarice (Lehman) Holder, Jerry Hasting, Ken Hasting, Jean Dunn, and Karen Walsh; and brother-in-law, Bill Gillette.
