Terry Lawson

Lynn Terrence “Terry” Lawson, 57 of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 in his home surrounded by family after a long illness. Born to Leonard and Betty Lawson on May 22, 1956 in Rockford, IL. Graduated from Guilford High School in 1974. Terry worked in hospitality management for over 30 years. He was an avid Ice Hogs fan, enjoyed fishing, going to auctions but especially loved to spend time with family. The world will miss his love and generosity. Member of Kishwaukee Baptist Church. Survivors include father Leonard of Rockford, daughters Tiffany Wargo (Jeremy) of Poplar Grove and Veronica Lawson of Caledonia, brothers Leonard W. (Barbara) of Berryville, VA, Lee (Ron Sam) of Oxnard Shores, CA, sisters Teresa Colvin (Ron) of Rockford and Marlene Lawson (Dave Veitch) of Rockford, grandchildren Hunter and Jayde Wargo of Poplar Grove. Best friend Randy Peterson of Virginia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by mother Betty, brother Lambert and daughter Sabrina Nicole. Special thanks to his father Leonard for all the love and care in Terry’s life from beginning to end. Thanks to Janet Miller and the rest of his church family for their support.
