Theora E. Osborne, age 97, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024. Theora was born on July 17th, 1926 in Laona, Wisconsin to Earl and Hazel Kirkpatrick. She married John Osborne, and together they welcomed three much loved children: daughters Leslie and Laurie, and son Kirk. Theora was all about family. She was a dedicated caregiver to beloved daughter Laurie. But most of all, she loved spending time with the love of her life, grandson Jack. They would spend time together ordering Domino’s pizza and playing games like Uno and Monopoly. Theora was always there for others in need. She was a fixture in the tuberous sclerosis community, ready to share her experience to help others through their journey. She was a board member at the Barbara Olsen Center (formerly School) of Hope.
Theora is survived by her son Kirk (Tara) Osborne and grandson Jack. She was preceded in death by her husband John, and daughters Leslie Sergeys and Laurie Osborne.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 9:30am until the time of her funeral service at 10:30am at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115).
