Thomas J. McLaughlin, 80, of Loves Park passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his family. Born March 7, 1933, he was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Martin) McLaughlin. Thomas married the love of his life, Jeanne (Atkinson) McLaughlin on February 5, 1955 at Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque, IA.
Thomas worked as a union painter and dry wall finisher. He was a member of several social clubs including, LLL, Harmony, White Eagles, Blackhawk, Lombardi, Venetian, and St. Ambrosia.
Survivors include, wife, Jeanne McLaughlin; daughter, Lori McLaughlin; sons, Dan (Brenda), Steve, Bill (Nina), and Rich (Janna) McLaughlin; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Bob (Shirley) McLaughlin.
He is preceded by his parents, and sister, Delores Scheitzach.
