Viola Marie Justis, 91, of Richardson, Texas, went to the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Born December 26, 1920 in Iowa, daughter of Lawrence and Elva (Bramhall) Hendershot. She married Lowell S. Justis in 1941 in Rockford, Illinois, and was married for 54 years until his death on April 4, 1996.
She was employed by Smith Oil, then as a branch manager at Rock River Savings and retired as Vice President at Life Savings and Loan. She enjoyed cooking, reading and crossword puzzles. Her love of jigsaw puzzles was passed on to all her family. Viola was very proud of her service to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include daughter Mary Best of Dallas, Texas and son James (Kathryn) Justis of Rockford, Illinois; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; nephew Robert Hendershot and her beloved brother Howard Hendershot. All of us will miss her beautiful smile.
Predeceased by husband Lowell and brother, Wayne.
