Virginia M. Dach

Virginia M. Dach, 90, of Rockford passed away Tuesday May 22, 2018 with family by her side. Virginia was born on February 12, 1928 in Loves Park, the daughter of Louis Thomas and Theresa (Glassman) Fox. She married Erwin Dach in June of 1946 and they celebrated 71 years of marriage until his passing on February 4, 2018. Virginia was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Virginia is survived by her children: Bernadette Schaffer, Collette (Louis) Hill and Annette (LeRoy) Welch; grandchildren Eric Schaffer, Edmond (Amanda) Schaffer, Louis (Christa) Hill, Tricia (Mark) Yone and Brandi Bartlett; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Jack Fox; sisters Pat Wakenight and Barbara Darnell.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Roger Schaffer, twin brothers Roger and Romain Fox.

Service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be 11:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park; visitation for Virginia will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
