of Loves Park, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Born on November 11, 1927 in Rockford to Maynard and Ruby (Roos) Johnson. Served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1949. Married Emma Maculan on April 22, 1950. Willard was employed at Barber-Coleman for 45 years and was a volunteer fireman for Loves Fire Dept for 20 years. He was a member of St. Bridgets Church and the Venetian Club. During his membership in the Lion’s Club, he was a top Rose salesman. In his spare time, enjoyed golf and bowling. Survived by his wife, Emma; son, James R. (Tracy) Johnson; three granddogs, Peanut, Wrigley, and Honey Bump; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; daughter, Donna; brother, Stuart; sister, Phyllis Ljungstedt.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St Bridget Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. before the service. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com
