

Wilma “Kay” Williams, 68 of Roscoe, passed away December 17, 2014. Born July 19, 1946 in Paragould, AR; she was the daughter of Miles L. Davis and Elsie L. (Ragsdell) Holden. She married the love of her life, Larry Williams on May 19, 1968 in Rockford.
Kay, a local country music singer for nearly 50 years, loved to share her beautiful vocal gift with everyone. Recipient of the ’92 and ’93 Rami Award for country music with her band Mercury, Kay enjoyed her time playing at the Ace of Diamonds and The Circle K. She often donated her time to play at many benefits to help anyone she could. Her infectious smile and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she came across. Kay loved spending time with family and friends but always made a little extra time for bingo.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Larry Williams; daughters, Valerie (Rick) Koch and Tammy Perry; son, Todd (Stephanie) Williams; granddaughters, Ashley and Cheyenne; grandsons, Jacob, Nicolas, Kevin, and David; sisters, Glenda Williams, Barb (Bob) Pilcher, and Doris (Owen) Stamm; brothers, Don, Larry (Barb), and Rick (Brenda) Davis; many nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Debbie Cameron.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother-in-laws, Gary and Terry Williams; nephew, Donald Moore.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23rd, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park; Chaplain Joe Barefield officiating. Visitation 12-2 p.m. on the day of service. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
