

Amy Adams Hill passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. She was the widow of Tom Hill Jr., to whom she was married 62 years. Mrs. Hill was born in Allentown, GA, the daughter of the late Sam and Annette Butler Adams.
Upon graduating from Middle Georgia College, Mrs. Hill moved to Macon and worked for Georgia Power Company until her children were born. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Allentown and later, Forest Hill United Methodist Church and Bass United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hill was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her children and three grandsons.
She was predeceased by her brother, Sam Adams of Macon. Mrs. Hill is survived by her two children, Tom Hill III and his son, Trevor Hill; daughter, Amy Hill Hartness and her two sons, Charles Hartness and Sam Hartness. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Mary Stevens of Danville, GA, nephew, Bunchie Stevens and his family; sisters-in-law, Madeline Adams, Louise Hill Burkhalter, Marie Hill and brother-in-law, Monroe Hill, all of Macon.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 29 at 11 AM in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Visitation will be held 45 minutes prior to the service at the gravesite. Rev. Stephen Keith and her niece, Mrs. Holly Reeves will conduct the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
