Arnold "Andy" Anderson

Arnold “Andy” Braly Anderson, 99, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 2:00pm in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Newborn, Georgia with Rev. Jimmy Asbell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Home, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, 31204.

Andy was born in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Tate and Mary Lou Braly Anderson and was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Brewer Anderson. He was the co-founder of Dealer Supply Company and a partner with Alco Manufacturing. Andy served in the United States Air Force as a Glider Pilot. He was a member of Idle Hour Country Club and Sandpiper Bay in Jensen Beach, Florida, and enjoyed playing golf and tennis, and traveling the country.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary Hightower Anderson; children, Mike Anderson, Donna Anderson Hazelton (Dan), Marion Hightower Steinhouse (Pete), Samuel James Hightower II (Janie), Dr. John “West” Hightower (Jill) and David Wright Hightower; grandchildren, Traci Anderson Pitts, Justin Anderson (Mindy), Brooke Hazelton (Erin), Whitney Hazelton (Kristin), Danny Hazelton, Mary Kathryn Hightower, Julianna Hightower, Susan Hightower, Jean Hightower, Frank Smothers (Jeanne), Virginia Lauren Ensley (Kevin) and Samuel James Hightower, III; and great grandchildren, Dylan Pitts, Maggie Anderson, Barrette Anderson, Harper Hazelton, Lilli Ensley and Ella Ensley.
