Barbara Ann McCook Parham

Barbara Ann McCook Parham, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. A graveside service will held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Ussery officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.

Barbara was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Clyde F. and Tressie Perdue McCook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Parham Sr. and her siblings, Kay “Mimi” Sasser, Clyde LaFay Swails, Ava Sapp, Tressie Edge, Mildred Fitzgibbons, Charles McCook, and Horace McCook. Barbara was the owner of the Smoke House Restaurants in Macon for many years where she enjoyed serving the community. She loved spending time at the beach and playing cards with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Jack D. Parham, Jr. of Perry; daughter, Maggie (James) Bruce of Fernandina Beach; grandchildren, Jamie Parham, Chadd (Christina) Bruce, Taylor Casteen, Kennedy Bruce, Savannah Parham, Steele Bruce and Axel Parham, several nieces, nephews and her lifelong friends and several grand dogs.
