Barbara Diane Nipper Ray

Barbara Diane Nipper Ray, 65, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Encounter Church, 2675 Gray Highway, Macon, GA 31211 with Pastor Caleb Newberry officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Ray, daughter of the late Christine Opal Brown Nipper and Frank Lee Nipper, Sr., was a lifelong resident of Macon and was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Nipper, Jr. She was a member of Encounter Church, the Red Hat Society and loved traveling with her family. Above all, she was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who cherished her family.

Survivors include those she loved most, her husband, Doug Ray; her children, Katena Ray, Christopher (Tracey) Ray and Bart Ray; her grandchildren, Noah Pratt, Bart Ray, Jr., Amber Stephens, Jessie Ray and Devin Ray; a great grandson, Bentley Craven; her sisters, Betty Bentley and Margie Nipper and several

nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
