

Candace Ann Cofer Weems went to be with her Savior on August 11, 2025, at the age of 52. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial on Bass Road, with Rev. Chip Miller officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be at 3 PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Cordele with Rev. John Smith officiating.
Born in Cordele, Georgia, Candace was the beloved daughter of the late Jake Ferrell Cofer and Nancy McKinney Cofer. She was a devoted member of Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church and formerly worshipped at First Presbyterian Church in Macon. Her professional journey included work with Gaylord Entertainment, and she later found her calling in education, retiring in 2013 as a high school educator from First Presbyterian Day School.
Candace’s life was marked by faith, love, and service. She is survived by her loving husband, Brant Weems of Peachtree City; her daughter, Margery Weems; and her son, Trey Weems, both of Peachtree City. She is also survived by her mother, Nancy Cofer of Cordele; her brother, Jake Cofer and sister-in-law, Robyn Cofer; her cherished aunts, Felicia Scarborough, Claire Wehlitz, Sue Lindsey, and Helen Hunt; and her mother-in-law, Diane Weems.
