I will always remember Mr. Puckett as my Sunday school teacher in high school.  The youth always  had fun for that one night in October where we would get together at his house for a Halloween party.  He would make a big bonfire and have a hay ride around his property.  He always listened to our youth problems and gave us great guidance through our teen years without any judgment.  I will always remember Mr. Puckett.  He always had a smile on his face when serving.  Every time I came home from  Texas to visit and went to church, he would always be there to say hello.   I will miss Mr Puckett but I know that he will be one to greet me in Heaven with that smile and firm handshake and hug.  

I am sad to hear of Carl's passing. I knew him best through our high school years at Willingham High School. Carl was always surrounded by laughter and good cheer.  You notice those school friends who are high achievers and of good character and that certainly defines Carl.  I have never forgotten the day during PE class when he climbed the rope strung from the gym rafters using only his hands from a seated position and in a hand over hand effort sped up the rope and back down, with seemingly little effort. He impressed us all in his youth with his humor, friendliness, achievements and character, which obviously continued through his adult life.  One Sunday I saw a replay of his Lay Sermon and called telling him how impacting his comments were. Once again, he impressed me. I am sorry in his passing, but thankful for the opportunity to have know him and the memories shared with him as a classmate.

I was shocked to hear of Carl's death, and I am so sorry for the loss.  Carl took me under his wing years ago, when I first started with ISO as a young buck.  I was immediately comfortable and he brought me into his wonderful life!  Carl was a true southern gentleman who loved his Lord, his family, and his farm.  He always made me laugh with his stories, and every time I am traveling past the farm on my way somewhere in South Georgia, I always say "hello" from the highway.   Carl was a huge part of my success with ISO, and I will always be grateful for that.   I will sorely miss him, and I know he is helping the Lord with some big project!  God Bless Carl and the family.

I was so sad to hear of Mr. Carl's passing. He was a kind, funny,  and straightforward man. The love and devotion for his family was obvious, but more importantly, so was his love for Jesus and his church.   I had the privilege of being his daughter's roommate in college,  which meant I got to spend a lot of time with the Puckett family when they came to visit Jennifer in Millegeville or when she let me tag along when she would go home for the weekends.  I got to watch Mr. Carl's service and devotion to family and church in action and always had a great deal of respect when watching him serve others.
My favorite memory of him will always be when everyone would sit around the kitchen table for Sunday lunch. I always would sit back and just listen to Mr. Carl talk to and "bust the chops" of his children (and wife), and every so often he would cut his eyes at me and smirk when I would giggle at his jabs.
He was a good man, and he will be missed, but I am so thankful for the hope that this goodbye is only a temporary one.

Can't imagine your pain or grief, And following the  message, testimony and tributes last week  there was that miracle of  one man that was unknowingly witnessing his own obituary and tribute. He was dedicated and committed to the things that matter, God, family and church.  We grieve at his passing and will continue to pray for each of you . May our Lord hold you and comfort you, and may Carl's words , "He is Risen indeed" sustain  each of you at this time.

There are no words that can truly express how sorry we are for your loss.  He was the face and voice of Liberty .  He will me misssed but never forgotten.  

Mr.  Carl was a very kind man, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome when we visited his church. He was very kind to my children through Oconee Outreach Opportunity as was his family. 

Praying for his family and friends as you mourn his loss but take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with Jesus.

Words cannot begin to explain Carl and how greatly he was loved and how dearly he will be missed. He was truly the closest example to Christ we have ever encountered. His smile and hugs brightened every room. The entire Puckett family represents God’s service and love like no other family. You are so dearly loved and as much pain as we feel over his loss we know that your pain far exceeds ours. We also know that there is not any doubt that God must have needed him more and that Carl continues to serve in heaven with perfect vision and body. We have been so blessed to have called him a friend and shared so many memories. In his honor we will strive to be more like him. Jim & Cassy regret that we will be out of town for visitation and his going away celebration but rest assured we continue to hold you in our prayers and mourn his loss. Until we meet him again, Carl will live on in our hearts!
