Carlton E. Brown

Carlton E. Brown, 84, passed away Friday, February 05, 2016 at a local hospital. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with Brother Gary Slade officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Navicent Health Foundation, c/o Peyton Anderson Cancer Center Fund, 858 High Street, Macon, GA 31201.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Elizabeth Driskell Brown in 2010. He was born in Union Point, GA and was the son of the late Marion and Susan Smith Brown. Mr. Brown served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a graduate of Dudley Hughes Vocational School. He was in avionics/electronics at Robins Air Force Base, retiring after thirty years. Mr. Brown was a Jehovah’s Witness, Kingdom Hall Anthony Road and was an avid NASCAR fan and Bull Dawg fan, and loved football in general. He was a devoted husband and a diligent father to two families of children who will miss him terribly.

Left to cherish his memory is his family, his daughter, Terry Brown (Bobby) Bell, son, David (Georgia) Brown, son, Scott (Teresa) Brown, daughter, Sheryl Nipper, son, Daryl Nipper, daughter, Tracey Burrell, son, Spencer Tarver, IV, and twin daughters, Tish and Trish Tarver; his grandchildren, Daniel Bell, Greg (Heather) Brown and Crystal (Jordan) Walker, Kristy Bedgood, Brandon Bedgood, Heather Nipper, Lacey Nipper, Jennifer Nipper, Logan Nipper, Dustin Nipper, Ashley Gay and Nathan Gay; and many great grandchildren.
