BYRON - Charles "Charlie" E. Garrett, 73, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Carl Vinson Veteran's Hospital, Dublin. Memorial services will be held at 2P.M., Saturday at Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church, 3216 Hartley Bridge Road.
Mr. Garrett, son of the late Willie T. and Mary McCook Garrett, was born in Thomaston and served with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He had lived in Byron and Crawford County for twenty-two years was a salesman retired from Metro Refrigeration Supply. Mr. Garrett was a member of Mickey Fuller Lodge No. 720 F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies of Free Masonry and Al Sihah Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his son, Charles Alan Garrett of Bethlehem, GA; five granddaughters; one great granddaughter and several sisters and brothers.
