Chester Chapman

Chester Griggs Chapman, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, November 5th at his residence. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 2 p.m. at Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Steffen and Rev. John Carroll officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. in the Christian Life Center of Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Chapman was born in Macon to the late Lilla Brown Chapman and Chester Griggs Chapman. He was a member of Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church, the Nan Freeman Sunday School Class and the Staff-Parish Committee. He was a graduate of Stratford Academy and Mercer University.

Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Brenda Thames Chapman of Macon; daughters, Christy Sellers of Macon and Karen (Ben) Farnsworth of Athens; sons, David Chapman of Warner Robins, Stuart (April) Chapman of Macon, Jason (Kerri) Chapman of Covington, John (Wendy) Hamrick of Goldsboro, NC, Justin (Jennie) Hamrick of Baltimore, MD; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
