JULIETTE – Dennis Howard Herring, 68, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Rev. Clay Bowden will officiate. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 pm at 6629 Hawkinsville Road, Macon 31216. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.
Mr. Herring was retired from the RAFB Fire Department. He was a United States Marine veteran and also was retired National Guard.
Mr. Herring is survived by his daughter, Denise Jones of High Falls, GA; son, Dennis H. (Monica) Herring, Jr. of North Carolina; grandchildren, James C. Arnold, Amanda A. (Bill) Watson, Hannah M. Jones, Dennis H. “Trace” Herring, III; great-grandson, Mason Watson; siblings, Bob (Faye) Herring, Sara Moore, Martha (Robert) Sellers; several nieces & nephews.
