Donald Eugene Getrum

MACON – Donald E. Getrum, 63, died Thursday night at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harvest Cathedral with the Rev. Jason Thomley officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the church. They ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Harvest Cathedral, 2254 Rocky Creek Road, Macon 31206 or to your charity of choice.

Mr. Getrum, son of the late Richard Leonard Getrum, was born in Pilot Rock, OR and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in Vietnam. He was owner and operator of Don Getrum Locksmith Co. and was a member of VFW Post 658. Mr. Getrum was a member of Harvest Cathedral where he was also a member of the Celebrate Recovery Group.

Survivors include his son Richard E. (Amy) Getrum of Warner Robins; his daughter, Wendy A. (Ron) Posadas of Castro Valley, CA; four grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, Jack and Alyssa; his mother, Ann Getrum of Couquille, OR; his brother, Leonard Getrum of Sherman,Texas and the mother of his children, Jackie Getrum of Montezuma.
