

Dorothy Rodgers Lewis, 92, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, February 24 at 11 a.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Rev. Robbie Jones officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Dorothy was born in Byron, GA to the late Charlie and Mable Tucker Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ross Lewis; sister, Aurelia Rodgers Norwood; brother, Thomas Rodgers. Dorothy retired from Pilot Club International after 46 years of service where she ended her career as Executive Director. She was a member at large of Pilot Club International. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 79 years. Dorothy was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Al (Jean) Lewis of LaGrange; daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Lewis Wachtel of Macon; granddaughter, Alison (Dusty) Lewis Cowart of Monroe County; brother, Charlie (Babs) Rodgers of Macon; brother-in-law, Ed Norwood of Macon; sister-in-law, Patty Rodgers of Murfreesboro, TN; special family friend, Phyllis Lewis of Macon, and several special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the many caretakers at Pruitt Healthcare at Peake in Macon, GA for their unconditional love and care shown for our Mother these past seven years.
