

DRY BRANCH – Earlene B. Sheffield, 69, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at Stone Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bob Hamilton, Dr. Donnie Sutton and the Rev. David Sapp will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7 – 9 p.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Stone Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sheffield, daughter of the late James Willis and Agnes Sapp Barrentine, was born in Bibb County and had lived in this area all her life. She was a graduate of Twiggs County High School and retired from Inland Container after twenty-eight years service and had worked as a receptionist with a local law firm. She was a Christian lady who loved her church family at Stone Creek Baptist Church.
A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, David Sheffield of Dry Branch; her son, Matt (Katelyn) Sheffield of Dry Branch; her brother, Mickey (Joy) Barrentine of Macon; her nephew and niece, Oran Barrentine and Aggie Barrentine, of Dry Branch.
