Elizabeth Norris Smith

Elizabeth Norris Smith, 50, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013. Private graveside services will be held Thursday in Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Tim McCoy will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon 31210 or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Elizabeth was born in Macon the daughter of William A. and Lana Turner Norris. She graduated from Stratford Academy in 1981 and attended Valdosta State. Elizabeth was a former member of Highland Hills Baptist Church, Ingleside Baptist Church and last attended First Baptist in Jacksonville. She touched lives wherever she went and everyone loved her. She became a Certified Nurse Assistant to be able to care for people and pets. Elizabeth loved the Lord; she read her devotional and took her Bible everywhere. She truly loved her son, William.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, William Allen Smith of Milledgeville; parents, William A. & Lana Turner Norris of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; brothers, William A. “Trey” Norris of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Stephen Turner Norris of Macon; niece, Sydni Grace Norris of Macon; aunts, Natalie Norris Moore of South Carolina, Laverne Jeffords of Sylvester, GA, and Loyce Turner of Valdosta; many cousins.
