Ernest Chester Campbell Jr.

Born on December 26, 1948, in Mobile, Alabama, Ernie was the son of Chester and Jean Campbell. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1967 and went on to work for Georgia Power, where he dedicated forty-one years of service. Ernie was a proud 56-year member of IBEW Local 84 and served as Vice President of the Marion Road Gun Club.

Ernie will be remembered for his commitment to serving others, his love of the outdoors, and the joy he found in hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie Burress Campbell; daughter, Erin Atkinson (Jonathan); grandchildren, Campbell and Will Atkinson; and siblings, Roderick Campbell, Donna Collins (Barry), and James Campbell (Liza). He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Harris Campbell, and his parents, Chester and Jean Campbell.

A private burial has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Rd.
