Taz graduated with honors in aircraft structure from Middle Georgia Tech. He was of the Baptist faith and was in landscaping.
Survivors include his mother, Cynthia Harbin Waldrep; companion, Erin Simko, Byron; stepdaughter, Christina Diaz, Warner Robins; brothers, Jeremy Waldrep, Bonaire and Stephen Barton, Gray; his grandmother, Mary Ann Harbin, Macon; three uncles; two aunts; four nieces, a nephew, a great niece, four great nephews.
