Frances Gilbert Skelton

Frances Gilbert Skelton, 77, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015. A graveside service will be private on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Hazen officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church, 5290 Arkwright Road, Macon GA 31210 or the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201.

Frances was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Thomas and Rosa Cain Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Jo Skelton and a son, Thomas Cody Skelton. She was retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Dona (Steve) Gurley of Macon, Laura Skelton, Sheryl Skelton, Milt Skelton, Jr., and Jesse (Carmen) Skelton, grandchildren, Stephanie (Jim) Tyner, Jonathan Gurley, Tommy Ng, Landon Loaiza, Carly Ng, Elijah Skelton, Grace Skelton and great grandchild, Catherine Tyner, brother, Tom (Margaret) Gilbert and several nieces and nephews, and her furry companion, Missy.
