Geraldine Hewell Carr, 95, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1:00pm in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. James Duke officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence.
Mrs. Carr was born in Meigs, Georgia to the late William Adkin Hewell and Willie McNeil Hewell and was preceded in death by her husband, Guyton Carr, Sr. She was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church. After raising her only child, she began a 30 year career as a secretary in the Bibb County public schools, beginning at Riley Elementary School in 1964 and retiring from Central High School in 1994.
Survivors include her son, Guyton (Kay) Carr, Jr. of Macon; grandson, Morris (Stacy) Carr of Macon; granddaughter, Kristy Carr of Macon; great grandson, Evan Carr of Macon; and brother, Sam (Betty) Hewell of Jacksonville, FL.
